Our Website Production Process

STEP 1 NEW PROJECT DISCOVERY PHASE

The success of any website project begins with a thorough scoping process. This discovery phase determines the successful outcome of your project. Throughout this discovery phase we will work with you to:

Clarify all the functional requirements of your website
Ensure that our website solution will work for your business and website needs
Begin planning a great user experience for your website which aligns with your business and website objectives
Scope the cost to design, develop and deploy your website solution

STEP 2 ONBOARDING PROCESS

Once we receive your deposit, you will be emailed a link to your Onboarding Questionnaire. This is an online document that includes questions about your: business, domain name, design preferences, branding, website images, website content and files to be uploaded.

Once submitted we will process your Onboarding Questionnaire to ensure we have all the required information to begin your website project. We will then assign your project to our workflow.

TIMEFRAME: You will receive your initial web design concepts within 10 business days from the date that we receive your Onboarding Questionnaire.

STEP 3 WEB DESIGN PHASE

Once we have processed your Onboarding Questionnaire the Web Designer will clearly map out the website project and will begin working on your initial web design concepts.

The Web Designer will email you the initial design concepts for your website, and then work with you directly until you have signed off on the completion of your website.

You will have up to 3 revision rounds during the web design phase so please take the time to carefully review the website designs and make your revision requests as thorough as possible. See our Revision Guidelines.

TIMEFRAME: The time that the web design phase takes can vary from client to client based on the clients responsiveness and the amount of website pages. The average time to sign off your design is approximately 2-3 weeks.

Once you are happy and have signed off your website design your project moves into the testing phase.

STEP 4 TESTING PHASE

This is where we go through the website and test that all functionality is working and that the website performs well on multiple browsers and devices.

TIMEFRAME: 1-2 days

STEP 5 HAND OVER PROCESS

Once your website has been given the ‘OK’ in the testing phase we will send you a formal handover email, containing your website login details. You will receive further information on how to book your 1 hour WordPress introduction session with our support team.

Our accounts team will also be in touch with you regarding the final balance of your account, which will now be due.

STEP 6 GO LIVE PROCESS

You will now be ready to launch your website off the staging domain and onto its main domain!

TIMEFRAME: Depending on your current website and email account set up, going live can take anywhere from 24-72 hours. So it is good to keep this in mind if you are working towards a specific launch date.

If you require emails to be created for your domain, they will be created at this stage.

STEP 7 ONGOING SUPPORT

Your website is live now and you are able to make any further edits to the content of your website yourself through the easy to use Content Management System. You may have questions from here on and our team is here to guide you and teach you how to best utilise your new website. Our support team also offer you a 1 hour WordPress introduction session to help you orient yourself with the website Content Management System.
