Heading Two

Does your business have a logo? Is that logo reflective of what you do? Have you started a new business and need a business logo?

Here are a few tips below to help get you started

We would suggest using a qualified graphic designer and they have the skills required to create a professional image for your business

Be sure to brief you designer on :

  • What your business does, or what you business is going to do
  • Target audience – who your customers are and some demographics about them
  • Other logos you like the look and feel of

Once you receive some concepts back from you graphic designer ask you self a few questions

  • Is the logo design simple yet powerful? Keep the number of colors to a minimum. You want to create instant recognition of you logo e.g. Commonwealth Bank
  • Make sure there are no thin lines that can be lost in photocopying or on a computer screen
  • Test the logo out, publish it on the internet, photocopy it fax it
  • How would the logo look in a newspaper add

Once you have made these changes to you business logo and you are happy with the amendments ask the graphic designer to send you the logo on a cd in a couple of formats. It is advisable if you are going to take your logo to a printer you need it in an EPS format

Some friendly legal advice

Check with IP Australia and make sure your logo design has not been used by anyone else

Check that you have copyright of the logo not the designer
